Nestled at the foot of the Alps and bordering France and Switzerland, Piedmont is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets and the ultimate destination for lovers of fine food, world-class wines, and captivating art. This enchanting region boasts charming villages, delectable cheeses and pastas, rolling vine-covered hills producing DOC and DOCG wines, and welcoming locals who embody the essence of Italian hospitality.
Beauty, Freedom, Flavor, and Spirit—Piedmont offers it all. With ancient hamlets juxtaposed with contemporary art, cities of cultural significance, and a stunning natural landscape, the region boasts 96 protected natural areas and 5 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Renowned for its sophisticated cuisine and some of the world's finest wines, including Barbaresco and Barolo, Piedmont is a “must-visit” for true wine enthusiasts and collectors. The vineyards of Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero, neatly terraced on scenic slopes, were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014—a testament to the centuries-old heritage of winemaking and gastronomy.
Famous for the “king and queen” of Italian wines, Barolo and Barbaresco, Piedmont is a top wine destination. Yet, it is the region’s deeply rooted culinary traditions that make it truly unique. With its typical flavors, artisanal products, and unrivaled wines, Piedmont is certain to captivate your senses.
